World No. 2 Jannik Sinner has matched a major mark set by Novak Djokovic, achieving 24 straight sets at the ATP Masters 1000 level. He hit the mark with a strong 6-3, 6-3 win over Damir Dumhur in the first round at Hard Rock Stadium.
This streak puts Sinner in the same company as Djokovic for the longest such run since the masters 1000 series started in 1990. But, he might go unmatched if he wins the first set of his next match against Corentin Moutet in Miami.
The run began when Sinner won his title at the Rolex Paris Masters without dropping a single set. He then stayed flawless at the BNP Paribas Open, again winning the event without losing a set. During this stretch, Sinner has stayed consistent, giving up just over three games per set on average and beating four players ranked in the top 10. Probably, his performance shows a steady ability to handle pressure on big stages.
Joao Fonseca called Jannik Sinner a robot in his post match conference and said he’s not in the same league as Alcaraz, as Alcaraz has more variety and can play it all.

Djokovic matched his record in 2016 during a period of outstanding performance. He started at Indian Wells and finished the Sunshine Double by winning both tournaments without dropping a set. His winning streak stopped at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
Carlos Alcaraz won 21 straight sets at Indian Wells in 2023 before losing in Miami. Djokovic also had a 19-set run that concluded when he played Roger Federer in the indian Wells final. Andy Murray holds the longest streak on clay, winning 18 sets in a row at Rome and Cincinnati in 2016.

Sinners’ current performance is getting him close to breaking the Masters 1000 records, showing he’s becoming more powerful on the ATP Tour. (His form has been consistent through several hard courts.) He’s now among the top players in sustained performance.
