With defending champions Shi Yuqi and An Se-young chasing consecutive Japan Open crowns, and Japanese favourite Akane Yamaguchi hoping to lift a record fifth title on home soil, the race for the championship is expected to intensify over the coming days. Indian supporters can also look forward to Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty and Unnati Hooda beginning their campaigns in the Round of 32.
