KKR vs DC, IPL 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Delhi Capitals will wind up the league stage of IPL 2026 as the Eden Gardens prepares to host Match 70 of the tournament. While the Delhi Capitals are knocked out of the playoffs race, the Knight Riders still have a chance but it all depends on the result of the ongoing clash between the Mumbai Indians and the Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium. As far as injury news go, the likes of Matheesha Pathirana, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Varun Chakravarthy are in focus.
We look at some of the key players and their availability for KKR vs DC IPL 2026 clash
3) Matheesha Pathirana – not playing
Matheesha Pathirana, purchased for ₹18 crore, has been ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury. Pathirana came as an impact player in the game against the Gujarat Titans. However, the Sri lankan speedster bowled only 1.2 overs before walking off to not return.
2) Varun Chakravarthy – likely to play
Knight Riders’ ace leg-spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been battling a toe injury in the last few matches but powered through to deliver economical spells. While there were reports of the BCCI intervening and call the Knight Riders out for playing the veteran despite the injury, secretary Devajit Saikia has denied any such notions. Nevertheless, Chakravarthy will likely play, whether a playoffs spot is up for grabs or not for the three-time champions.
1) Angkrish Raghuvanshi – not playing
The Knight Riders have suffered a big jolt with Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s finger injury and concussion ruling him out of IPL 2026. An in-form batter, the youngster has had a breakout season, aggregating 422 runs in 13 games at 42.20 alongside a healthy strike rate of 142.20. Raghuvanshi has also done more than a decent job in keeping wickets for the side. Rahul Tripathi could replace him in the side.
