Liverpool welcome Nottingham Forest to Anfield in a key Premier League clash, with both teams still searching for their first win of the new campaign. Andoni Iraola will take charge of his first competitive home match as Liverpool manager after a dramatic 2-2 draw at Newcastle, while Forest enter the game after consecutive defeats to Leeds United in the league and Carabao Cup.
Liverpool have the stronger historical record, but Forest have recently become a difficult opponent at Anfield, winning on their last two visits. With Forest struggling for goals and Liverpool looking for greater defensive stability, the matchup could provide an early test of both sides’ new-look campaigns.

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest: Key Lineup Updates and Team News
Liverpool’s main selection question is on the right flank, with VÃctor Muñoz expected to get the nod over 18-year-old Rio Ngumoha after earning praise for his role in winning the stoppage-time penalty against Newcastle. In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister could remain among the substitutes as he returns to full fitness, leaving Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch to start together. Jérémy Jacquet is also expected to retain his place alongside Virgil van Dijk, with Ronald Araújo on the bench and Joe Gomez unavailable due to a muscle problem.
For Nottingham Forest, Ibrahim Sangaré’s calf injury picked up in training has ruled him out and could see Nicolás DomÃnguez partner new signing Xaver Schlager in midfield. Ousmane Diomande is in line for his full debut after featuring in the Carabao Cup, potentially joining Nikola Milenković and Murillo in the back three. Morgan Gibbs-White and Neco Williams have recovered from minor knocks and are expected to be available, while Nicolo Savona and Ryan Yates remain sidelined.
