Playing at home, losing 3-0 no matter which team you face, is, of course, a very, very, very bad result. Unexpected, if you look at the first half hour of the game. In my opinion, a good start from us. I haven't seen us creating so much in half an hour, a first half hour of a game, maybe for the whole season. I'm not sure because I don't remember every single game now. But we were able to create a lot. And the first time they arrived in our box, they scored a goal. And it's a very difficult cocktail to drink or to have if you miss out on your own chances, and almost every time you concede one, the ball goes in." (SOUNDBITE) (English) LIVERPOOL MANAGER, ARNE SLOT, SAYING:     "Yes, of course, there is a way out, especially with the quality players we have. So, I think no matter if you win or lose, if you make a line-up and if you make substitutions and you when you look back, you're always thinking about, 'Oh, where can we do better, where can we adjust?' Or that's something else than doubting yourself. But I want to emphasise one more time on the fact that I'm responsible for the current losses. You are responsible when you're winning, but you're also responsible when you are losing. And that's why I prefer, although you ask me that question, not to talk about referee decisions or the excuses, I can never come up with enough excuses for us to perform. Now, to have the results we have. That is far from good enough. And I'm responsible for that." LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (NOVEMBER 22, 2025) (REUTERS - Access all) (MUTE) 11. (SOUNDBITE) (English) NOTTINGHAM FOREST MANAGER, SEAN DYCHE, SAYING:     "Pleased, pleased for lots of reasons. Pleased for the players, mainly. You know, I spoke openly when I first got here about being three managers in short succession, players trying to realign again. They've done very well with it, and I commend them on it because I said to them this week and I said to them again, after the game, we can only guide you in the right direction. It's down to you to perform. And they have done that on the training pitch, absorbing the information and delivering performances. And that's all we can ask of them. I think they are putting a lot into training, a lot into what we try and what we were all collectively trying to do to achieve things. I think that's a very solid marker against a top side today." STILL IMAGE OF NOTTINGHAM FOREST MANAGER SEAN DYCHE PUTTING THUMBS UP STORY: Liverpool manager Arne Slot admitted responsibility after his side suffered their joint-heaviest ever home Premier League defeat, a 3-0 humiliation by Nottingham Forest, that left the champions in 11th place and their title chase in tatters. Murillo, Nicolo Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White scored for Forest, who were languishing in the drop zone before kickoff, to inflict Liverpool's sixth defeat in their last seven league games. "Another big disappointment," Slot told reporters. "We started off quite well for the first half an hour. We conceded the 1-0, and we weren’t able to play the way we did in the first half hour." Forest's Savona scored inside the first minute of a second-half collapse by the home side and Liverpool have now lost eight of their last 11 games in all competitions. The manager admitted experience alone will not solve the problems. Injuries have played their part, with Florian Wirtz and Conor Bradley the latest casualties, and summer big-money signings such as Alexander Isak have yet to settle. Isak, the most expensive player in league history, started but was largely unnoticeable and Slot replaced him midway through the second half.
