LSG vs CSK, IPL 2026: While the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have no hopes of qualifying for the playoffs, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have a lot to gain when the two sides lock horns at the Ekana Stadium on May 15, Friday. The Super Kings, who have 12 points, must win to keep themselves in contention for a Top 4 finish due to other teams also pushing for a playoffs spot. As such, injury concerns will most bother the Yellow Army as MS Dhoni and Jamie Overton largely remain in focus.
We look at some of the key players and their availability for LSG vs CSK IPL 2026 clash
3) Mohsin Khan – available for selection
Lucknow Super Giants’ new-ball bowler Mohsin Khan has arguably been one of their best bowlers of the tournament, picking up 10 scalps in five matches at 14.90, including a fifer that came against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). But fitness has still been a concern for the towering pacer and didn’t play the game against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at home after a niggle. The 27-year-old’s most recent game was against the Mumbai Indians on May 4 but he remains available for selection.
2) MS Dhoni – not playing
The question about when will MS Dhoni play has now steadily transformed to whether or not the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend will play a game this season. Although the 44-year-old has been seen batting, keeping and even bowling in the nets, he continues to keep the fans guessing on whether or not he will take the field. Ahead of the match against the Super Giants, Dhoni has notably skipped the trip to Lucknow.
1) Jamie Overton – not playing
England pacer Jamie Overton’s injury is arguably the biggest blow for the Super Kings, especially at a stage where they need to win every game. The right-arm pacer, who had taken 14 wickets in 10 games, was a middle-overs enforcer for the Yellow Army. Nevertheless, the injury to his right thigh rendered him unavailable for selection.
