Born on August 3, 2002, in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, Manav Suthar is a bowling all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls left-arm orthodox spin. While he is capable of contributing with the bat, his biggest strength is his spin bowling. Suthar relies on flight, variations in pace and accuracy to put pressure on batters, making him an effective option on turning pitches.
Suthar had already attracted attention during his domestic career. He enjoyed a breakthrough 2022-23 Ranji Trophy season with Rajasthan, taking 39 wickets in just six matches at an average of 20.33. He finished as Rajasthan’s leading wicket-taker that season and also contributed with two half-centuries.
