A shortlist of players has emerged from the Manchester United camp as they look to replace Marcus Rashford. The English forward is currently on loan to Spanish giant FC Barcelona. He is expected to join them permanently when the loan deal ends in the summer. To fill the void on the left flank, the Red Devils have shortlisted at least five players. They will be keeping their eyes on these five players before the transfer window opens in June 2026.

Rashford to permanently settle in Spain

According to multiple reports, FC Barcelona are eager to trigger the ‘option to buy’ clause in their loan agreement for Rashford. The 28-year-old joined the Blaugrana ahead of the 2025-26 season. He has already netted 10 goals for them in 37 games across all competitions.

Manchester United is looking at its options

In spite of recent struggles across competitions, the Manchester-based club remains one of the top destinations for footballers around the world. Manchester United are looking at different options to fill the gap on the left wing by the absence of Marcus Rashford. Their top targets are as follows:

  • Yan Diomande (RB Liepzig): 19-year-old, Yan Diomande emerges as a promising long-term option for the 20-time Premier League champions. Diomande, hailing from the Ivory Coast, has speed and incredible dribbling skills, which make him a top prospect. In this season, he has scored 11 goals and seven assists for his club in 27 games.

  • Jesus Rodriguez (Como): Another young talent on whom Manchester United has its eyes set is Jesus Rodriguez. While he has only 10 goal contributions so far across competitions, the youngster has still managed to create an impact for the Italian club.

  • Martial Godo (Strasbourg): Martial Godo, 22, playing in the French league, is an English-born footballer. Having played for Fulham U-21 and the senior side, Godo could be looking to return to the country. He has been in decent form this season with 12 goals and five assists to his name in 28 games for the French side.

  • Iliman Ndiaye (Everton): The United are keeping a close eye on Iliman Ndiaye’s developments at Everton. The recently turned 26-year-old has blown cold this year with only eight goal contributions in 25 games. However, the experience of having played more than 50 games in the Premier League could come in handy when making the move to Old Trafford.

  • Bradley Barcola (Paris Saint-Germain): Bradley Barcola is on top of the wishlist for Manchester United as they look to replace Marcus Rashford. He has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 36 games for PSG across all competitions this season. He was pivotal in PSG’s success in the UEFA Champions League the previous season, having seven goal contributions in the competition.
