But really, this game belonged to Nikola Jokic. The guy just does it all. He put up his 23rd triple-double of the season: 28 points, 12 rebounds, 13 assists. He barely missed, going 10-for-15 from the floor and barely missing a free throw. Sure, he had nine turnovers, but it hardly mattered. Jokic kept the offence humming, constantly setting up open looks for guys like Julian Strawther, who scored 18, and Christian Braun, who added 15. The Lakers kept trying to adjust, but Jokic always had an answer.
LeBron James Rewrites History Despite Disappointing Loss And Injury
LeBron James added another milestone to his incredible career in this game. Late in the first quarter, he sank a classic 12-foot fadeaway over Zeke Nnaji, notching his 15,838th career field goal, which is more than anyone in NBA history, even Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
