And I just backed myself there. I knew that she was going to bite big down the tee, so I knew I had to make it slider wide there. I appreciate all the fan support. It's always a blessing for me to come out here. Obviously, I'm not playing singles, so anytime I'm out here with the atmosphere and to put on a show for you guys means a lot to me. And yeah, I'm just happy that Ellen asked me to get out here with her. She's an amazing player. She's killing it on the doubles scene, so just another one to add to the resume." 23. CROWD CLAPPING  24. KYRGIOS WRAPPING UP  STORY: Australian Nick Kyrgios and compatriot Ellen Perez claimed victory at the inaugural Mixed Doubles Showdown event ahead of the Australian Open in Melbourne on Saturday (January 17).  The exhibition tournament, featuring 10-minute matches, determined finalists based on the highest points earned within each group. Kyrgios and Perez progressed from their group after defeating pairings including Taylor Townsend and Neal Skupski, and Julian Cash and Hsieh Su-wei. They clinched the title in the final by overcoming Luisa Stefani of Brazil and Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador. The other group included teams such as Olivia Gadecki and John Peers, Erin Routliffe and Lloyd Glasspool, and the eventual runners-up Stefani and Arevalo. Kyrgios will next be seen in action on Tuesday (January 20) when he will compete in the Australian Open men's doubles competition with partner Thanasi Kokkinakis.  (Production: Suramya Kaushik)
