According to a report by The Times of India, the BCCI Medical team has advised the seam-bowling all-rounder an extended period of rest and is yet to commence is rehabilitation. The discomfort felt in the left quadricep meant he has been out of action since the third ODI against Afghanistan at the Chepauk in Chennai. The report mentioned that the BCCI is closely monitoring his progress and while the chances of playing in England look bleak, it is understood that Reddy should be available for the limited-overs series in Zimbabwe in August. Hence, the selectors will take a call soon.
Meanwhile, the squad for the ODIs in England will assemble in batches. The likes of Shubman Gill and KL Rahul will reportedly arrive early to kickstart their preparations, while the others will link up later ahead of the series-opener in Birmingham.
