(MUTE) VARIOUS DRONE SHOTS OF VENICE DURING OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY STORY: The Olympic flame navigated the famed canals of Venice on Thursday (January 22) as the Milano Cortina Olympics quickly approach.      Torchbearers carried the flame over the famous bridges of “The Floating City” as onlookers snapped pictures and cheered.      The Olympic torch relay could not have passed through the city without the flame being taken by gondola through the winding canals.     And of course, no trip to Venice is complete without a look at the iconic Rialto Bridge.      Venice was the final stop for the relay on its 46th day touring Italy in the lead-up to the 2026 Winter Games.      Also on Thursday, organizers announced that Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, the lead actors of the television series, “Heated Rivalry” will be torchbearers on the final day of the relay on February 6.      The flame began its journey across Italy from Rome last month and has been to the islands of Sardinia and Sicily, as well as the southern cities of Naples and Bari as part of a 12,000-kilometre (7,450-mile) journey that will end in Milan's San Siro stadium on February 6.     The relay has been part of efforts to generate excitement across the country before the Games which will be staged at a variety of locations, with the financial capital Milan and the Alpine resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo as the two main bases.
