The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) announced on Sunday that it has officially terminated the contract of head coach Pape Thiaw and his entire technical staff. The decisive move comes in the immediate aftermath of the national team’s premature exit from the 2026 World Cup, a campaign the federation deemed an outright failure.
The 45-year-old coach, who took the reins of the Teranga Lions back in 2024, saw his tenure cut short following a dramatic round-of-32 collapse that left the football-mad nation in complete shock.
