Shreyas Iyer’s sister, Shresta, has once again come into the limelight after Punjab Kings suffered their sixth defeat in a row, losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamshala on Sunday. The controversy first started when Shresta made a fun video earlier during IPL 2026, allegedly trolling the Kolkata Knight Riders following a washed-out match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata in the early phase of the season.

Why Is Shreyas Iyer’s Sister Trending After PBKS vs RCB IPL 2026 Match?

Following a below-par start in IPL 2026, KKR secured their first point after their home match against PBKS was abandoned due to incessant rain in Kolkata.

As the result was settled, Iyer’s sister, Shresta, posted a video on social media, where she could be seen dancing with his friends and family members. People featured in the video were captured showing one finger, which seemed offensive to many fans.

Since then, whenever PBKS have lost a match in IPL 2026, Shresta has been trolled for that viral clip. She, however, has already taken down the video. Interestingly, KKR are currently just one point behind PBKS as they have recovered well in the recent weeks.
