The Sultans made light work of the chase, reaching the target in just 17.3 overs thanks to a blistering top-order performance. Sahibzada Farhan led the way with a magnificent 68 off 38 balls, while Josh Philippe provided explosive support with a rapid 56. Despite two wickets from Mohammad Amir, the Rawalpindiz bowlers had no answers for Multan’s aggressive approach. This comprehensive win keeps the Sultans firmly at the top of the points table, while Rawalpindiz remain rooted to the bottom after four straight losses.

With the tournament expanding to eight teams, the competition now follows a revamped structure featuring 44 matches, moving away from the earlier double round-robin system. The teams are split into two groups of four, though these groupings are only for scheduling purposes. Each team faces the other three teams in its group twice and plays once against each team from the opposite group, making it ten matches per team in the league stage. After the league phase, the top four teams on the points table advance to the playoffs, which will follow the Page playoff format to decide the winner.
