LQ vs PZ, PSL 2026: A spirited Lahore Qalandars broke Peshawar Zalmi’s winning streak in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 match on Saturday to stay alive in the tournament. Chasing 200 at the Gaddafi Stadium against the world-class bowling attack of Zalmi, Fakhar Zaman came good again with a half-century at the top, while Charith Asalanka (33), Sikandar Raza (29) and Daniel Sams (35*) chipped in with cameos to complete a six-wicket victory.

While Babar Azam continued his good form amid a rare failure from Kusal Mendis, he took 45 balls for his 59 runs in the contest. It was New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell’s epic 83 off 45 deliveries that provided the real impetus to the table-toppers. The spin-bowling all-rounder, who was eventually dismissed by Haris Rauf, struck at 184.44, while Iftikhar Ahmed made a 14-ball 27 to lift their side to 199 in their stipulated 20 overs.

The reigning champions didn’t exactly begin their chase in an auspicious fashion as Mohammad Naeem perished in the third over. But Fakhar Zaman kept the runs and was largely aided by cameos from Abdullah Shafique (25) Charith Asalanka (33), Sikandar Raza (29) and Daniel Sams (35*) to complete a nervy six-wicket win with three balls to spare. Nevertheless, the Qalandars are likely to know their fate only after the clash between the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz on Sunday in Karachi.

Here’s how the points table after Match 38 of PSL 2026
