In the latest Rangers FC transfer news, the Scottish giants have officially confirmed the deadline-day arrival of Algerian international winger Badredine Bouanani on a season-long loan from German Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.
The 21-year-old attacker completed his switch to Ibrox in September 2026, providing manager Derek McInnes with a dynamic attacking option for the domestic and European campaign ahead.
Bouanani brings considerable top-flight pedigree to Glasgow despite his young age. The creative winger developed through the youth ranks at French club Lille before making 70 senior appearances for OGC Nice in Ligue 1 and spending a productive loan spell at Lorient.
He joined Stuttgart in 2025, featuring 28 times in his debut German season across domestic and continental fixtures.

Rangers supporters will already be familiar with Bouanani’s talents. The winger previously lined up against the Light Blues in the UEFA Europa League in November 2024, scoring the only goal of the match for Nice with a sensational curling free kick at Ibrox.
Speaking on his arrival in Glasgow, Bouanani said:
“I am very happy to be here and excited to start. I know it is a tough league with a lot of duels and intensity, so I will need to work. I have a lot of experience now, so I will try to put it into this league.“
Derek McInnes Hails Winger Ability In One-on-One Situations
Rangers manager Derek McInnes expressed his delight after securing his primary wide target before the Scottish transfer window shut. McInnes emphasized that the Algerian international provides the team with much-needed unpredictability and technical sharpness in the final third.
McInnes stated:
“We are delighted to welcome Badredine to the club. He is an exciting young player who will add real quality, creativity and a different dimension to our attacking options. He is very good with the ball, a real threat in one v one situations and he has already gained experience in two of Europe top leagues.“
Bouanani’s addition gives Rangers elite depth on both flanks as they aim to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title and progress deep into continental competition.
With the paperwork finalized, the Algerian winger will link up with his new teammates immediately following the international break.
