RCB vs DC, IPL 2026: Tim David sends the Chinnaswamy crowd into a frenzy
David, known for his fearsome six-hitting skills, struck one off Lungi Ngidi in the 12th over of the innings. With the South African pacer overpitching the ball, the Singapore-born cricketer took full toll of it and clubbed it straight down the ground. The 37-year-old, who was out for 19, could hardly believe how hard that had been hit and how fast it travelled.

RCB vs DC, IPL 2026: How much have the Royal Challengers Bengaluru set for the Delhi Capitals at the Chinnaswamy Stadium?
It was Capitals skipper Axar Patel, who won the toss and sent the defending champions into bat. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt started once again in fiery fashion, stitching a 52-run stand, broken by Lungi Ngidi by dismissing the former for 19. Nevertheless, Phil Salt reached his second half-century of the season before falling for 63 off 38 deliveries.
But the remaining RCB batters struggled, with only Tim David going past 20 as the Capitals bowled outstandingly at the death, hardly allowing the Royal Challengers to get any big overs under their belt. Ngidi, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel picked up two wickets to limit the hosts to 175/8 in 20 overs. But the Capitals have already lost Pathum Nissanka, Karun Nair and Sameer Rizvi, surging considerable pressure on them.
