As per Football Transfer Market expert Fabrizio Romano, the European Giants and 15-time UEFA Champions League Winners Real Madrid are set to add the services of Liverpool centre-back Ibrahim Konate and Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries this summer, along with the managerial return of “The Special One” Jose Mourinho to his former club.

Los Blancos are not going to stop with these changes, and the club is expected to undergo a complete overhaul after two trophyless seasons, a rare phenomenon for the club.

Real Madrid secures the signings of Konate and Dumfries

According to Fabrizio, French defender Ibrahima Konaté is reportedly on course to join Real Madrid, with a verbal agreement already reached on a four-year contract. The Spanish club decided to pursue the centre-back after activating an option following his departure from Liverpool as a free agent.

Konaté has reportedly placed lucrative offers from the Saudi Pro League on hold as he prioritises a move to the Santiago Bernabéu. The transfer is expected to be finalised once Florentino Pérez secures re-election as Real Madrid president, after which the French international is anticipated to officially sign his contract.

Real Madrid has also reportedly reached a full agreement on personal terms with Denzel Dumfries, moving a step closer to completing the transfer. The Spanish giants are now expected to trigger the Dutch defender’s €20 million release clause with Inter Milan to finalise the deal and bring him to the Santiago Bernabéu. Dumfries is set to become the first Dutch player for the Los Blancos since Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who signed for the club in 2009.

No Stopping for Real Madrid

After securing the signatures of Dumfries and Konate, Real Madrid, under new manager Jose Mourinho, is set to bring even more new reinforcements in order to boost their chances to win major trophies, the main target being the 16th UEFA Champions League.

According to 365scores, Chelsea are reportedly open to a potential swap deal involving Enzo Fernández and Real Madrid. Under the proposed arrangement, the Premier League club would receive €20 million plus midfielder Federico Valverde, while Fernández would move to the Spanish giants. No official agreement has been confirmed by either club.

According to reports from COPE, Real Madrid are keen to strengthen their squad by targeting João Neves, the highly rated Paris Saint-Germain midfielder. The 21-year-old Portuguese international is regarded as one of Europe’s brightest young talents and remains under contract until 2030, meaning any deal would likely require a significant transfer fee.

The report also suggests Madrid are considering bringing back former winger Víctor Muñoz from Osasuna, with the club still retaining 50% of his buy back clause. In defence, Los Blancos are said to be exploring a move for Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni, who is valued at around €50 million, as part of efforts to reinforce the backline.

The club has decided to go big after several big names, like captain Dani Carvajal and centre back David Alaba, are set to leave the club. It has been reported that the club is willing to let go of midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni as well.
