As per the latest update from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the rain probability has now increased sharply from 78% to 94%, while the current temperature stands at around 22 degrees Celsius. Sunday Guardian can confirm from its reporter from Guwahati that it was raining heavily at the stadium at 7:00 PM at the time of toss, and the ground was fully covered.
Now, (7:30 PM IST) the rain has stopped at the Barsapara Stadium and the staff members are drying out the field using the soppers.
