The Scottish Premiership is finally settled, with Celtic FC pulling off a spectacular comeback against Hearts to clinch the league title on the final matchday. The atmosphere was quite tense in Glasgow from the very first minute as Hearts only needed a draw to win their first trophy in 60 years, while the hosts had to win.

Hearts remained in the winning position, with only four minutes left of the regulation time. But Celtic bounced back in the last moment to score twice and sealed their 14th Scottish Premiership title in the last 15 years. The Glasgow crowd present at Celtic Park erupted into wild celebrations after Callum Osmand made it 3-1 in the stoppage time.

What Happened in Celtic vs Hearts Scottish Premiership Final Match?

Hearts, who remained at the top of the Scottish Premiership table for 226 days in the 2025-26 season, took the lead against Celtic, with Lawrence Shankland breaking the deadlock. However, Arne Engels equalised for the home side before the break. Daizen Maeda sparked hopes for the title win in the 87th minute before Callum Osmand put the final nail in the coffin. If Hearts had held their title rivals to a draw, at least, they could become the first team other than Celtic or Rangers to win the Scottish Premiership since 1985.

Road Closure in Glasgow As Celtic Fans Celebrate Scottish Premiership Title

Police have closed several roads in Glasgow to prevent any potential bedlam. The Glasgowgate also remains shut between Watson Street and High Street, besides a part of the London Road between Glasgow Cross and James Morrison Street. However, the Saltmarket has been kept accessible. City dwellers have been requested to avoid the Trongate area, where Celtic fans could gather for celebrations.
