The ex-husband of Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza, Shoaib Malik, has once again found himself surrounded by controversy. This time, the rumours circulated on social media claims that the Pakistani cricketer had married for the fourth time, tying the knot with actress Vaneeza Ahmed. However, both Malik and the actress have now broken their silence and denied the news.
According to reports in Pakistani media outlet Siasat.com, Malik strongly denied the rumours and warned that those spreading the fake news could face legal action.
“I’ve always sought to keep my private life private, out of respect for my family. However, my silence seems to have been taken for granted,” Malik said in his statement.
He further stated that the claims about his fourth marriage are false and fabricated, expressing concern about the impact such rumours could have on his family, especially his son.

“I feel this has reached a point where it must be addressed. My son is now at an age where he will read these false and fabricated stories. These accusations, spread for views and mere pennies of earnings, are causing distress to those I care about,” he added.
Meanwhile, Vaneeza also addressed the speculation linking her with Malik. During a television appearance, she dismissed the rumours outright.
“I have never even met Shoaib Malik. I don’t know where these rumours started,” she said.

Malik’s marriage controversies first made headlines when he married Pakistani actress Sana Javed on January 20, 2024. The wedding marked his third marriage after his separation from Sania Mirza.
The Indian and Pakistani had tied knot on April 12, 2010. The wedding took place in Sania's hometown of Hyderabad, India, at the Taj Krishna Hotel. Their first and only son named Izhaan Mirza Malik was born on October 30, 2018. After 13 years of marriage, it was confirmed in January 2024 that the couple had divorced.
However, before that, Malik was married to Ayesha Siddiqui in 2002, which ended in divorce on 7 April 2010.
