The Barbie doll modeled after Mandhana is a tribute to her impressive career in international cricket. Mattel has clarified that this special doll is commemorative and will not be sold commercially, making it a unique way to celebrate her achievements.

“Barbie has always championed the belief that girls can be anything. From astronauts to CEOs, Barbie has broken barriers and redefined what’s possible – igniting imagination and inspiring generations of girls to dream without limits,” said Nathan Baynard, Vice President and Head of Barbie, Mattel.

Mandhana Shares Her Thoughts

Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana took to her official Instagram and expressed her gratitude for this honor, writing:

Still processing this moment… Seeing a one-of-a-kind @Barbie doll inspired by my journey is something I never imagined growing up. Cricket has given me so much, and if my story helps even one girl believe she belongs on the field, that means everything.

Honored to be part of Barbie’s Dream Team alongside incredible women from around the world who are breaking barriers in their own fields. When girls see what’s possible, they dream bigger.”
