Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have had an inconsistent campaign but showed tremendous fighting spirit to book their place in the final. Innocent Kaia played a match-winning role with a career-best 72 against Namibia, while Brian Bennett has been their leading run-scorer with 101 runs in the tournament.
Led by Bjorn Fortuin, South Africa will look to maintain their dominance and finish the tournament with the trophy. The likes of Pretorius, Dewald Brevis, Rubin Hermann, Duan Jansen and Fortuin have all made important contributions during the campaign.
Zimbabwe will be banking on experienced campaigners such as Sikandar Raza and Brian Bennett, along with Kaia, to challenge the Proteas. The Chevrons will need a much-improved performance from their top order and middle order if they are to end South Africa’s dominance and win the tri-series final.
