UFC President Dana White has announced that the pay-per-view mega-showcase UFC 329 is expected to have raked in 25 million dollars at the live gate alone, making it the highest-grossing single fight card in the history of mixed martial arts. The event marked the long-awaited return to active competition of global sports phenomenon Conor McGregor following a five-year layoff and broke the capacity sell-out at the T-Mobile Arena within a matter of minutes following the public sale of tickets. It obliterates the existing financial metrics in modern-day fight cards and is a demonstration of the financial clout of the premier fighting promotion at the annual International Fight Week celebration.

UFC 329: Dana White Confirms Commercial Records Falling Ahead Of Comeback Rematch

The newly verified financial statistics represent a massive triumph for the promotion, which has successfully shattered its own prior all-time revenue high watermark. The previous live gate record stood at 21.8 million dollars, established during the historic UFC 306 event held inside the high-tech Las Vegas Sphere venue. By surpassing that multi-million-dollar benchmark by a substantial margin without the massive overhead costs of immersive technological production, the commercial drawing power of the organisation has reached an entirely new tier.

Ultimate Fighting Championship Commercial History Book Belongs To The Notorious One

Now that the official $25 million gate metric has been confirmed and made concrete, the former two-division champion, Conor McGregor, has been further immortalised in the commercial history of premier combat entertainment. The Irishman has firmly captured a large piece of the organisation’s financial legacy, owning three of the four biggest live gate events of all time.

In the past, McGregor has reached such financial heights in legendary stadium bouts such as against rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in UFC 229, as well as his monumental lightweight title capture at UFC 205 in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
