UFC Houston delivered an action-packed night at the Toyota Centre, with fighters putting on exciting performances from the prelims to the main event.

The main event saw Sean Strickland defeat Anthony Hernandez by TKO at 2:23 of the third round. Strickland used his sharp jab effectively in the first two rounds before landing a knee to Hernandez’s midsection early in Round 3. Hernandez retreated to the fence, and Strickland pressed the attack with a series of punches, finishing the fight. This dominant win was one of Strickland’s best performances, putting him back into contention at the top of the division.

Uroš Medić made a statement in the prelims with a first-round KO over Geoff Neal at 1:19. Medić landed a clean left hook to Neal’s temple early in the fight, ending the match in seconds. This marked Medić’s third consecutive first-round knockout and continued his impressive run since moving to the welterweight division. Melquizael Costa also impressed, defeating Dan Ige by TKO with a spinning back kick followed by punches at 4:56 of Round 1. Costa had earlier stunned Ige with a front kick, leaving him vulnerable. The finish was Costa’s sixth straight win and the biggest of his career, making him the first fighter to stop Ige.

In the heavyweight bout, Serghei Spivac defeated Ante Delija by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) in a back-and-forth fight. Spivac dominated early, Delija fought back in the second, but Spivac regained control in the third round, showing strong striking and resilience to end a two-fight losing streak. Jacobe Smith continued his rise with a first-round KO over Josiah Harrell at 3:01. When Harrell shot for a takedown, Smith used the momentum to lock in a crucifix position and deliver heavy strikes, marking his third straight stoppage win.

The main card opener saw Michel Pereira defeat Zachary Reese by split decision (29-28, 29-28). Pereira started strong with heavy shots and a knockdown, while Reese remained competitive throughout.
