Match Preview

Valencia are facing multiple selection issues ahead of the match. Backup goalkeeper Cristian Rivero is suspended, while centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby is ruled out with a hamstring injury. First-choice goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala is also sidelined, which is expected to hand Stole Dimitrievski a start after he recently recovered from an adductor problem that kept him out in December.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, head to Mestalla with a depleted squad of their own. Several key players are unavailable due to injury or suspension, most notably Jude Bellingham, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury and is expected to miss around a month. Centre-back Eder Militao is also set for another spell on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring problem.
