The Indian Premier League 2026 clash between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, March 29 had a special guest in attendance, as Dhurandhar 2 star Sara Arjun was spotted cheering for the home side.

The 20-year-old actress, who plays the female lead Yalina Jamali opposite Ranveer Singh in the 2026 spy thriller Dhurandhar 2, was seen exiting from Wankhede after the match in a striking blue Mumbai Indians jersey. She was accompanied by her father, Raj Arjun, and mother Sanya Arjun.

During her visit, Sara Arjun also crossed paths with actor Ishaan Khatter, who was present at the stadium. Videos of their interaction are now going viral on social media.

On the field, Mumbai Indians registered a dominant six-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening match of the season. Chasing a daunting target of 221, MI completed the chase in 19.1 overs, finishing at 221 for 4.

The chase was powered by Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, who put on a commanding opening partnership. Rohit scored 78 off 38 balls, while Rickelton contributed 81 off 41, dismantling KKR’s inexperienced pace attack.

The duo raced to 135 without loss in just 11 overs, effectively taking the game away from KKR. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for 16 by Kartik Tyagi, while Rickelton was run out later in the innings. Eventually, captain Hardik Pandya finished the chase with an unbeaten 18 off 11 balls, alongside Naman Dhir, who added the final touches.

Earlier, after being put in to bat, Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a strong start. Captain Ajinkya Rahane led from the front with 67 off 40 balls, while Finn Allen chipped in with a quick 37 off 17. Cameron Green added 18 off 10 balls in the middle order, though the Australian all-rounder did not bowl in the match.

Rinku Singh’s late cameo of 33 off 21 balls helped KKR post a competitive total of 220 for 4. However, despite the strong batting effort, they failed to defend the total and suffered a defeat in their opening game of the season.
