CSK vs GT, IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans’ cricketers Rashid Khan and Manav Suthar made a mess of a golden catching opportunity in the IPL 2026 game against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 26, Sunday. In a video surfaced on social media, Suthar and Rashid left it to one another despite the catch being in their reach as fans recalled how Saeed Ajmal and Shoaib Malik made a mess of a similar opportunity during an international fixture years ago.
CSK vs GT, IPL 2026: How did Manav Suthar and Rashid Khan made a mess of the catching opportunity?
The incident occurred in the 18th over of the innings sent down by Kagiso Rabada. With Kartik Sharma looking to clobber over the leg side, all the youngster managed was a top-edge. Suthar was running in from deep square leg, while Rashid sprinted from deep mid-wicket to take the catch but both left the opportunity to one another, adding to the Titans’ sloppy fielding display. The likes of Mohammed Siraj and Jos Buttler had also given reprieves to Shivam Dube by dropping simple catches.
Meanwhile, here’s the video of the fielding display:

CSK vs GT, IPL 2026: How much did the Chennai Super Kings manage in their first innings?
On what was a tricky pitch to bat on, the Super Kings couldn’t find momentum in the first ten innings, losing four wickets and managing only 43 runs. The partnership of 59 between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube was arguably their best one as it proved to be the bedrock of a competitive total of 158 in 20 overs. Gaikwad’s maiden fifty resulting in his return to form has been the biggest plus for the five-time champions.
Kartik (15) and Jamie Overton (18) also chipped in with crucial cameos as the Titans face a tricky run-chase.
