Caitlin Clark joined her Team USA teammates in celebrating a memorable FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup triumph in Berlin, Germany. The Indiana Fever star was part of the squad that delivered a commanding 97-79 victory over France in Sunday’s final, securing the United States’ fifth consecutive gold medal in the tournament. After the final whistle, the players headed into the locker room, where the celebrations quickly turned lively as they enjoyed the achievement together.

A video from the post-game celebrations captured the team letting loose, with WNBA stars Clark and Angel Reese sharing the moment alongside their championship-winning teammates. Clark was seen spraying champagne as the players celebrated their dominant victory over Gabby Williams and the French side, bringing a memorable end to Team USA’s successful World Cup campaign.

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s Team USA Locker Room Celebration Goes Viral After World Cup Win

Team USA’s celebrations were in full swing after the Americans secured another FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup title. Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and their teammates enjoyed the moment after beating France 97-79 in Sunday’s final, with the victory extending the United States’ remarkable run to five consecutive World Cup championships. Once the final buzzer sounded, the players had every reason to celebrate, and Reese gave fans a glimpse of the party by sharing a locker-room video featuring the squad proudly showing off their gold medals. Clark also featured prominently in the footage, joining the celebrations with a champagne bottle in hand.

Clark’s appearance in the short-form video was notable in itself. Although the Indiana Fever guard occasionally shares photos and updates on Instagram, she is not particularly known for appearing in TikTok-style videos alongside her WNBA peers. With Reese and Clark emerging as two of the most recognizable faces of the next generation of Team USA, their presence together during the celebrations offered another glimpse of their growing connection both on and off the court.

However, Clark’s champagne celebration quickly took an unexpected turn. While trying to spray the bottle over her teammates, the Fever star accidentally directed some of the champagne straight into her own eyes. The moment was captured in Reese’s video and quickly made the rounds online, with Clark later sharing a screenshot from the clip and poking fun at herself by writing, “I sprayed myself in the face by accident.”

Caitlin Clark Shines for Team USA Before Turning Focus Back to Indiana Fever

Despite the awkward moment, Clark had plenty to celebrate after making an impact against France. She came off the bench for all six of Team USA’s games and played the fewest minutes of her tournament in the final, but still finished with 12 points, one rebound and three assists in 13 minutes. Overall, she averaged 7.8 points per game while shooting 35.9% from the field and led the American team in assists with 5.3 per contest.

The celebrations will be short-lived for Clark, however, with the 2026 WNBA season resuming this week. She is expected to return to the Indiana Fever before their Friday trip to Canada to face the Toronto Tempo at Coca-Cola Coliseum. The Fever enter the final stretch with four regular-season games remaining and a 26-14 record, sitting fifth in the standings as they look to finish the campaign strongly.
