Araklı Mayor Hüseyin Avni Coşkun Çebi welcomed Salah and discussed the region’s future, particularly the impact of climate change. During their conversation, the mayor offered to gift the footballer a piece of land in the area, describing it as a potential legacy for his family.

Mohamed Salah Begins New Chapter At Trabzonspor
Salah arrived in Turkey after ending his nine-year spell with Liverpool, where he established himself as one of the greatest forwards in the club’s history. He scored 257 goals in 442 appearances across all competitions and collected nine major trophies with the Reds.
The 34-year-old is expected to sign a two-year contract with an option for another season. Reports suggest he will earn around €17 million annually.
Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season and secured a place in the Europa League qualifying play-off round. Salah has made it clear that he wants to compete for trophies in Turkey and help his new club make an impact domestically and in Europe.
