Swift and Cruise quickly became a talking point after cameras caught them sitting next to each other and engaged in an animated conversation during Monday Night Football. The pair even shared a high-five after Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice scored a touchdown to put Kansas City seven points ahead near the end of the first half. Swift eventually appeared in the sketch wearing a detective outfit alongside her cat, Olivia Benson, whose name is inspired by Hargitay’s famous SVU character. The segment was packed with Easter eggs before revealing the answer to the investigation: Swift would not be at the Emmys because she was at Arrowhead watching Kelce. The unusual overlap meant viewers could see Swift in the pre-recorded Emmy segment while also watching her appear live from the Chiefs’ suite.
