Indian opener Prithvi Shaw just got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Akriti Agarwal, on Sunday, March 8, 2026. While everyone else was glued to the India vs New Zealand T20 World Cup final, Shaw decided to drop the news on Instagram. He posted a bunch of gorgeous photos from the ceremony and threw in a cricket pun for good measure: “From sixes on the field to a lifetime of hits off it. She is my perfect innings! #justengaged.” Funny thing is, just a few days ago, the two of them showed up together at the wedding of Shaw’s childhood friend, Arjun Tendulkar, and Saaniya Chandhok in Mumbai. Looks like there’s a lot to celebrate for Shaw these days, both on and off the field.

She was born on May 2, 2003, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and spent her early years there before moving to Mumbai with her family as a teenager. Her journey as a content creator really took off during the COVID-19 lockdown. She started on TikTok, posting dance and lip-sync videos that quickly got people’s attention. Most of her content centres on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, and it’s clear her audience loves what she does.
