Napheesa Collier led the way with 19 points as the United States cruised past Hungary 108-56 on Thursday to book its place in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup semifinals. The Americans will take on Spain on Saturday, while France and hosts Germany will meet in the other semifinal. The victory also extended the U.S. team’s remarkable World Cup winning streak to 34 games, dating back to its semifinal defeat against Russia in 2006.
While Team USA continues its pursuit of another World Cup title, the WNBA is currently on its midseason break, giving players some time away from the court. Sophie Cunningham has been making the most of that downtime, recently being spotted on vacation with Frank Adams. Although the two have not publicly confirmed their relationship, their holiday appearance together has fueled plenty of speculation and attention around the WNBA star.
Sophie Cunningham’s Rumoured Boyfriend: Who Is Frank Adams?
Sophie Cunningham appears to have been on vacation with Frank Adams, adding to the growing speculation surrounding her love life. Sophie Cunningham and Frank Adams Were Previously Linked in March
Back in March, Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham sparked dating speculation after fans spotted a mystery man in the background of one of her selfies. Although the photo did not clearly show his face, some eagle-eyed followers began suggesting that the man could be Frank Adams, the reported head athletic trainer for Grand Canyon University’s men’s basketball team. According to his LinkedIn profile, Adams studied Education, Kinesiology and Sport at Hardin-Simmons University before building a career in athletic training.
Adams’ connection to Cunningham also drew attention because she previously played for the Phoenix Mercury, the WNBA team based in the same city as the NBA’s Phoenix Suns, from 2019 to 2024. Earlier that month, Instagram user Teejayraps shared several posts showing Cunningham at GCU games, along with clips appearing to show her with Adams at different events, further fueling speculation among fans.
Cunningham has generally kept her romantic life private, but she previously opened up about her preferences while discussing relationships on her podcast in early March. “I could never date someone shorter than me. Because I’m already big. So I want someone who is going to make me feel smaller,” Cunningham said. “But there are so many guys who have taller girls! I think people have really good energy, and I love so many people. I just can’t.” Neither Cunningham nor Adams has publicly confirmed or addressed the nature of their relationship, leaving fans to continue speculating.
