Trinity Rodman has risen to become one of women's football's standout talents, recently clinching the title of the world's highest-paid female footballer thanks to a landmark contract with the Washington Spirit.
Her three-year contract with the Spirit, worth upwards of more than $2 million a year when bonuses are included, set a new benchmark, beating Barcelona's Aitana Bonmati.
“I have no doubt this is where I wanted to begin the next chapter of my career,” the young player said in a statement supplied by his club organisation. “I’m proud of what we’ve built since my rookie season and excited about the direction the club is headed.”
Rodman was born in the state of California. She is the daughter of basketball star Dennis Rodman and Michelle Moyer. Rodman is a forward on the Washington Spirit Women's Soccer Team of the NWSL League and the US Women's National Team.
In her five seasons in the league, Rodman has scored 33 goals and added 21 assists in 109 games across all competitions. The football star and three-time Ballon d'Or winner, Aitana Bonmati, who was reportedly the highest-payed female football player until Rodman's latest contract, is a midfielder for Barcelona

Rodman spent a brief time at Corona del Mar High School before relocating to JSerra Catholic High School. She had gone ahead and committed to Washington State University; however, with the COVID-19 pandemic, she went pro without ever stepping onto a college court.
Rodman was raised with her mother, Michelle Moyer, along with her brother, DJ Rodman. Rodman has also two half-sisters, Alexis Rodman and Teyana Lima. The daughter of the former NBA champion turned icon Dennis Rodman did sign a three-year deal with the Washington Spirit, averaging around $2 million annually (equivalent to about £1.5 million) including bonuses. This was disclosed in a special press conference held on the above Thursday night, 22nd January, through an agreement that will see her stay until 2028, aBBC Sports reports.
Rodman is currently in a relationship with American tennis star Ben Shelton, confirmed in March 2025.
