Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav is set to begin a new chapter in his personal life just after celebrating India’s T20 World Cup 2026 victory. According to multiple reports, the left-arm wrist spinner will marry his childhood friend and long-time partner Vanshika Chadha later this month in Mussoorie.
The journey of Kuldeep and Vanshika, from childhood friends to soon-to-be life partners, is a story rooted in years of companionship. Reports suggest that the couple is expected to tie the knot on March 14, just days after India’s historic night in Ahmedabad where they defeated New Zealand to successfully defend their T20 World Cup title.
Kuldeep was part of India’s 15-member squad during the tournament but featured in only one match. The spinner played against Pakistan in the opening game in Colombo, where he picked up one wicket for 14 runs in three overs. However, he was later replaced in the playing XI by Varun Chakaravarthy as the tournament progressed.
Despite being a prominent figure in Indian cricket, Kuldeep and Vanshika have largely kept their relationship away from the public eye. They got engaged in 2025, on June 4.
The two share deep roots in Kanpur, where they grew up as neighbours. While Kuldeep comes from the Lal Bungalow area of the city, Vanshika is from Shyam Nagar, located just about three kilometres away.
Unlike many partners of high-profile athletes, Vanshika prefers to stay away from the spotlight and reportedly does not maintain a public social media presence. She comes from a modest background, with her father Yogesh Singh working for the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
Following in her father’s footsteps, Vanshika also joined LIC and has built a stable career there over the years.
According to reports, the wedding ceremony will take place in Uttarakhand, while a grand reception is expected to be held on March 17 at Hotel Centrum in Lucknow. However, official confirmation regarding the wedding celebrations is still awaited.
