According to official information released by the RENIEC (Peruvian National Registry of Identification and Civil Status), the country has been swept by a sudden wave of “Haaland Mania”. The registry confirmed that a whopping 468 newborns have been registered with the surname “Haaland” as their first name. In addition, another 91 infants have been officially registered under the striker’s full name “Erling Haaland”, creating a unique generation of South American namesakes for the 25-year-old goalscoring machine.
