World Championship of Legends 2026 to Begin October 3 With Star-Studded Third Season
The World Championship of Legends (WCL) will return for its third season from October 3 to 18, with former Australian opener David Warner joining a host of retired cricket stars. Yuvraj Singh, AB de Villiers, Dwayne Bravo, Shahid Afridi and Moeen Ali are among the established names set to feature, while the tournament has also added Bangladesh Champions. The venue for the 2026 edition has not yet been announced.
India Champions won the inaugural WCL title after beating Pakistan Champions, while South Africa Champions claimed the second edition by defeating the same opponents. Organisers have promised an even bigger lineup for the third season, with Mahmudullah Riyad also joining the list of additions. The release said, “Following two record-breaking seasons, WCL 2026 will have more star power, more intensity, more national pride and more unforgettable cricketing moments.”
WCL founder and CEO Harshit Tomar also hinted at major changes for the upcoming edition, including a move away from the UK. “Season 3 is going to be very special. We will be moving out of the UK for this season and giving surprises to all our fans. We promise to bring the biggest names in cricket, the biggest stars the fans could ever think about for Season 3.”
