The latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, the night after Wrestlemania 42 took place at the T-Mobile Arena at Las Vegas, Nevada. Newly-crowned World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns made an appearance, while Cody Rhodes, who successfully, walked out of Wrestlemania 42 as the Undisputed WWE Champion after defeating Randy Orton, also addressed his victory.
At the same time, the night also saw the likes of Oba Femi, CM Punk, Jacob Fatu and Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan come into the ring. Brock Lesnar, who has hinted at retiring from in-ring action, seemingly passed the torch to Femi, who pinned down the former world champion to announce himself as the ‘next big thing’.
CM Punk vs Cody Rhodes on the cards?
A night after going down to Reigns and relinquishing his world championship in a battle of titans, CM Punk addressed the WWE universe about his defeat. Punk revealed that he has been dealing with an extremely loss as his friend and MMA trainer Duke Rufus passed away in October. However, the veteran admitted at feeling proud of his championship reign that lasted 169 days. Rhodes, who had sustained a brutal eye injury after Orton’s assault, made an appearance.
The two shared banters and had a friendly conversation but Punk hinted at coming for Rhodes’ world title before leaving the ring.
Jacob Fatu challenges Roman Reigns ahead of Backlash 2026
Having defeated Drew McIntyre in an unforgiving unsanctioned match at Wrestlemania 42, Jacob Fatu interrupted Reigns’ address to the WWE Universe after the latter defeated CM Punk to win the title. Reigns notably came into the ring with cousins Jimmy and Jey Uso. Fatu soon made an appearance and proclaimed about ‘needing the World Heavyweight championship’. While Reigns acknowledges he wants those things for Fatu, the Tribal Chief questions whether he can handle the burden of the title.
After Reigns says Fatu isn’t ready for the challenge, he walked out of the ring with his cousins.
