This week’s edition of WWE Raw unfolded inside the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, with several major developments shaping the road to next month’s Money in the Bank event in New Orleans. The previous week had seen Bron Breakker and Sol Ruca punch their tickets to the men’s and women’s ladder matches, while Liv Morgan appeared to retain the Women’s World Championship after overcoming Stephanie Vaquer in the main event. However, that title victory proved short-lived, as Vaquer bounced back just days later at a WWE Live Event in Chile, where she stunned Morgan to capture the championship.

The September 14 episode brought another high-profile title showdown, as Roman Reigns successfully put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Penta. The Money in the Bank picture also continued to take shape, with Je’Von Evans earning his place in the men’s ladder match and Lola Vice making her WWE debut by securing a spot in the women’s contest. With the New Orleans event drawing closer, the Red Brand delivered plenty of action and important developments. Here are the complete results from this week’s WWE Raw.

WWE’s Penta Booking May Have Revealed The Outcome Of His Roman Reigns Clash

Penta heads into WWE Raw in Mexico City with perhaps the biggest opportunity of his WWE career, as he prepares to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. A victory in front of his home crowd would be a huge moment, but WWE’s apparent plans for him later in the week have raised questions about whether a title change is actually on the cards. Penta is reportedly scheduled to appear on SmackDown in a dark match against Dominik Mysterio, something that would seem unusual for a newly crowned world champion making his first appearance after winning the biggest title on Raw.

That said, the booking does leave room for another twist, including a disqualification that could allow Penta to win the match without Reigns losing the championship. The situation becomes even more intriguing when Reigns’ ongoing Bloodline problems are factored into the equation. The Tribal Chief has plenty to worry about beyond his title defence, with Royce Keys and his 946 stable creating fresh tension around the group. Reigns has reportedly ordered Jacob Fatu to target Keys, a decision that could eventually bring the growing conflict straight back to him.

If Reigns becomes distracted by the chaos surrounding his faction, Penta could find the opening he needs to cause an upset in Mexico City. Still, based on the way WWE appears to have mapped out Penta’s immediate schedule, the safer prediction is that Reigns will leave Mexico with the World Heavyweight Championship intact. A Penta victory would also add another major shake-up to what has already been a hectic period for WWE’s championship scene.

Sami Zayn recently captured the Undisputed WWE Championship from CM Punk on SmackDown, while Stephanie Vaquer dethroned Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at a WWE Live Event in Chile. Dominik Mysterio also dropped the AAA Mega Championship to El Grande Americano at Triplemania 34. Another world title changing hands on Raw would take the recent run of major championship switches to another level. Penta becoming champion in Mexico City would certainly make for a memorable moment, but his advertised SmackDown plans may be the biggest hint yet that WWE has something else planned for the night.
