Kevin Owens Secures Final Men’s Money in the Bank Spot
Kevin Owens secured the final men’s Money in the Bank berth by defeating Cody Rhodes and Johnny Gargano. Rhodes appeared poised to win after hitting Cross Rhodes on Owens, but Randy Orton dragged the official outside. Rhodes chased Orton instead of returning, allowing Gargano to strike.
Owens survived One Final Beat before blasting Gargano with a Pop-up Powerbomb. Orton’s interference kept Rhodes from re-entering, leaving Owens to seize the opening and book his place in the ladder match in Denver.
Tiffany Stratton Completes Women’s Money in the Bank Field
Tiffany Stratton earned the women’s Money in the Bank berth by defeating Tatum Paxley and Candice LeRae. Stratton and Paxley briefly formed an alliance before it collapsed, giving LeRae openings to attack. The pace accelerated through near-falls, with Paxley landing a 450 Splash on LeRae.
Stratton answered with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on both opponents, then pinned LeRae to seal her place in the ladder match. The victory gives the Ms. Money in the Bank another chance to climb ladder.
Blake Monroe Beats Giulia In SmackDown Debut
Blake Monroe made her SmackDown in-ring debut against longtime rival Giulia after months of backstage attacks and disrupted bouts. Both women traded heavy offence before Giulia delivered a vicious stomp.
Giulia then dragged Monroe towards the top rope, but Monroe clipped her legs, sending Giulia face-first into the ring post. Monroe capitalised immediately, pinning the stunned Giulia to secure a statement victory. The result ended the wait for Monroe’s first SmackDown match and gave her a major opening-night moment Friday.
