WWE SmackDown returns tonight with championship stakes and simmering tension carried straight from last week’s chaos. Taped at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, alongside Raw, the episode arrives just two days before WWE’s historic first-ever Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta. Here’s everything fans need before tuning in.
Punk Defends Title Amid Chaos
CM Punk puts the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Johnny Gargano, though outside interference threatens to overshadow the contest. Kevin Owens, Gunther and Finn Balor all get involved ringside, while Sami Zayn’s presence looms large after last week’s title-picture ambush. Expect Cody Rhodes to factor into the fallout as tensions boil toward next week’s stop in Mexico City.
Giulia’s Rescheduled Debut, Tiffany Stratton In Action
Giulia finally gets her delayed main-roster introduction, squaring off against Blake Monroe in a match many fans have anticipated for weeks. Elsewhere, Tiffany Stratton collides with the formidable Nia Jax, while SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis must decide Sami Zayn’s fate following his reckless interference.
Rhodes-Orton Feud Intensifies
Cody Rhodes addresses Randy Orton ahead of their showdown at Sunday Night’s Main Event, after Orton’s provocative jabs targeted Rhodes’s family. Expect fiery words before the two rivals finally collide this weekend in Atlanta.
