Yuzvendra Chahal lit up the County Championship clash between Durham and Northamptonshire with a four-wicket haul. But one of those dismissals gained much attention, and deservedly so. The Indian spinner, on the second day of the match, got the better of Ben Stokes with an unplayable delivery that even left the Englishman speechless. The all-rounder returned to the pavilion after scoring 14 off 22 balls, as Chahal bagged his third wicket. Durham ultimately wrapped up their first innings at 205 runs, losing all wickets in 56.2 overs.

Yuzvendra Chahal bowled an outside-off delivery. Ben Stokes judged the line perfectly but was baffled by the unpredictable turn. The ball spun inside and rattled the stumps.
Stokes was captured looking at the surface in disbelief as Chahal celebrated the wicket with his Northamptonshire teammates at the cinch County Ground.

Durham vs Northamptonshire Highlights, Day 2
Yuzvendra Chahal produced a masterclass with the ball as Northamptonshire County Cricket Club bowled out Durham County Cricket Club on Day 2 of their County Championship Division Two clash.
Chahal was the standout performer, returning figures of 4 for 36 from 15.2 overs at an economy of just 2.34, doing most of the damage in the middle and lower order.
David Bedingham was Durham’s top scorer with a fighting 81 off 91 balls, laced with 13 boundaries, before falling lbw to Louis Kimber. Mayank Agarwal chipped in with 36, while Alex Lees made 24 at the top.
Support for Chahal came from Ben Sanderson (1/54), Luke Procter (1/29), Calvin Harrison (1/36) and Kimber (1/5), while Durham also lost three batters to run-outs, Will Rhodes and later Colin Ackermann, both dismissed in the field alongside Procter’s direct involvement. Durham added 25 extras to their total of 205, all out in 56.2 overs.
In reply, Northamptonshire raced to 21 for 1 from just five overs, with Ricardo Vasconcelos unbeaten on 16 off 12 balls, including three fours, at a strike rate over 133. Skipper Procter fell early, caught by Bedingham off Matthew Potts for a duck.
