Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh Winner Prediction: Following an ODI series win by Zimbabwe, the focus now shifts to the shortest format. Having won the series 2-1 against Bangladesh in Harare, the hosts will now look to continue their fine form in T20I in Bulawayo. Having finished among the Super Eights in the T20 World Cup 2026, Zimbabwe will be playing its first game in the shortest format since the ICC tournament. Meanwhile, Bangladesh comes into this game having suffered a 3-0 whitewash loss against Australia in their last T20I series.
For Bangladesh, the task of making a comeback after losing the ODI series and one-off Test earlier in the tour will be tricky as they miss their captain. Skipper Litton Das was earlier supposed to join his Lanka Premier League side, Galle Gallants, and miss this series; however, an injury has ruled him out of the tournament as well.

Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh 1st T20I: Queens Sports Club Pitch Report

The two teams in Bulawayo will be presented with a mixed sporting surface at the Queens Sports Club in comparison to the one in Harare, where the ODI series and the one-off Test were played. Pacers are expected to generate lateral movement with the new ball, but true bounce from the pitch might result in pacers not getting much assistance with hit-the-deck bowling. Spinners, on the other hand, are not expected to generate much turn, rendering Bangladesh’s biggest threat somewhat useless. Meanwhile, batters can expect consistent bounce from the pitch.

Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh Toss Prediction: Who will win today’s first T20I match toss in Queens Sports Club?

Toss Winners: Zimbabwe
Decision: Bowl First
Logic: Since 2024, there have been six T20Is that have been played at the Queens Sports Club. The results from these games are equally divided with both bowling first and batting first resulting in three wins each. However, two of Zimbabwe’s three wins on this ground in the last two years have come while chasing the target.

Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh Prediction: Who will win today’s ZIM vs BAN 1st T20I?

Zimbabwe will be expected to continue their fine form in the tour and register yet another win over their Asian opponents. The hosts have the home advantage and a passionate crowd behind them to show them the support, and would be expected to take a lead and win the first T20I of the series.

ZIM vs BAN 1st T20I: Top Captain and Vice Captain Choices

Top Captain Choice:

Sikandar Raza, thanks to his all-round presence with both bat and ball in his hand, would be the top captain choice. The Zimbabwean skipper would be expected to make an impact in both facets of the game and could very well be the game-changer for the hosts.

Top Vice-Captain Choice:

Nahid Rana could very well be Bangladesh’s dark horse in this game. The right-arm pacer has been in good touch in recent times, and on a pitch that could assist some lateral movement, Rana could be a handful to face for the hosts.

Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh Probable XIs

Zimbabwe Probable Playing XI: Ben Curran, Brian Bennett, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza (C), Ryan Burl, Clive Madande (wk), Brad Evans, Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani, Wellington Masakadza
Bangladesh Probable Playing XI: Tanzid Hasan, Towhid Hridoy (C), Yasir Ali, Parvez Hossain Emon (wk), Mahedi Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam
