Zimbabwe have continued their impressive run at home under the leadership of Richard Ngarava, building on their one-off Test victory over Bangladesh by securing the ODI series as well. The hosts hold an unassailable 2-0 lead and will now aim to complete a clean sweep when the third and final ODI takes place at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday, with the match set to begin at 1 PM IST.
Ben Curran starred in the second ODI with a superb century that guided Zimbabwe to victory. Bangladesh looked well placed during the chase at 207/5 in the 42nd over while pursuing 248, but another middle and lower-order collapse saw them fall short. Their problems have been compounded by the absence of Mustafizur Rahman, leaving Bangladesh in need of a much-improved batting performance to avoid a series whitewash.
