Tech giant Apple is preparing to open its second retail store in Bengaluru as part of its aggressive India expansion strategy. The new outlet is expected to come up in East Bengaluru’s Whitefield area, strengthening the company’s growing offline presence in one of India’s biggest technology hubs.
Apple’s New Bengaluru Store Likely at Phoenix Marketcity
According to reports, the upcoming Apple retail outlet is likely to be located at the popular Whitefield shopping destination, Phoenix Marketcity. The store is expected to begin operations by early 2027, giving Apple a stronger foothold in Bengaluru’s eastern tech corridor, home to several IT parks, startups, and multinational companies.
The move comes after the company expanded its India retail network over the last few years with stores in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida.
Bengaluru Emerging as a Key Market for Apple
Bengaluru has become one of Apple’s most important markets in India due to its large base of premium smartphone users, software professionals, and tech-savvy consumers. The city already hosts Apple’s existing retail outlet at Hebbal, which opened in 2025 and marked the company’s third official retail store in India at the time.
Industry experts believe East Bengaluru is a strategic choice because areas such as Whitefield, Marathahalli, and Outer Ring Road continue to witness strong demand for premium electronics and gadgets.
Apple Accelerates India Retail Expansion
Apple has been steadily increasing its investments in India, both in manufacturing and retail. The company has expanded local iPhone production while simultaneously opening new flagship stores across major metro cities.
The company’s India retail journey began with the launch of flagship stores in Mumbai and Delhi in 2023. Since then, Apple has rapidly added new outlets in Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida as it targets deeper penetration in the premium consumer market.
Why India Is Important for Apple
India continues to be one of Apple’s fastest-growing markets globally. Rising demand for premium smartphones, increasing local manufacturing, and a growing base of young consumers have encouraged the company to expand aggressively in the country.
Analysts say Apple’s retail expansion also helps the brand offer direct customer support, hands-on product experiences, trade-in programs, and Today at Apple learning sessions that are popular globally.
More Apple Stores Expected Across India
Reports suggest Apple could continue adding more retail outlets in major Indian cities over the next few years as competition intensifies in the premium smartphone segment. With Bengaluru now set to receive a second Apple store, the company appears focused on building a stronger direct-to-consumer ecosystem in India.
