The Google Pixel Tag is one of the biggest non-phone announcements from the Made by Google event. It is Google’s first Bluetooth tracker and competes directly with Apple’s AirTag. In India, the Pixel Tag costs:
- Single pack: Rs 3,799
- Four-pack: Rs 12,900
Google will sell it in India from November through the Google India online store. It comes in a Fog colour. The tracker uses Bluetooth Channel Sounding and Ultra-Wideband connectivity for precision finding. It integrates with Google’s Find Hub and includes a built-in speaker.
It also has a user-replaceable CR2032 battery that Google claims can last for more than a year. The Pixel Tag carries an IP67 rating and works with Android 9 and newer devices.
Google Pixel HiLight Feature
HiLight is arguably the most distinctive new hardware feature on the Pixel 11 Pro lineup. The feature uses coloured LEDs placed around the rear camera flash to provide visual alerts without requiring users to turn on the display.
For example, users can assign different colours to favourite contacts. When those people call, the LEDs can glow in the assigned colour. HiLight can also show different patterns when Gemini is listening, processing or responding during hands-free interactions.
Google plans to expand HiLight’s capabilities with additional notifications, including messages from favourite contacts. Importantly, HiLight does not appear on the standard Pixel 11. Google has reserved the feature for the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Camera
Google has made camera upgrades one of the central parts of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL. Both Pro models get a new 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera and an upgraded 48MP 5x telephoto camera. The telephoto sensor captures 30% more light than its predecessor, according to Google.
The Pro models now offer 120x Pro Zoom, while the new Instant Night Sight system can process low-light photographs up to 4.5 times faster than the Pixel 10, Pixel 9 and Pixel 8 series, according to Google.
The phones also introduce Magic Capture, which analyses a sequence of images to identify a better moment from spontaneous movement. Another new tool, Camera Looks, allows users to create and customise visual styles for their photographs.
Google Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Is It Worth Buying?
The Pixel 11 series offers some meaningful upgrades, particularly for buyers interested in AI, photography and long-term software support.
The standard Pixel 11 makes the lineup more expensive than last year’s model, but it now starts with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM and a more capable camera system.
The Pro models offer the biggest camera improvements, brighter displays, faster charging and the new HiLight system. The Pixel 11 Pro XL makes more sense for buyers who want a larger screen and faster wired charging.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold targets a different audience. Its thinner body, brighter dual displays, improved hinge, new camera and AI features make it Google’s most ambitious foldable yet.
