GTA 6 Latest News: With the continued promotion of GTA 6 by Rockstar Games in the form of four fresh pictures with protagonists Lucia and Jason, attention is being paid to Grand Theft Auto 6 once again. Also, news about the possible need for a specific PlayStation 5 firmware is causing conversations among the fan community regarding the concerns of console security, game preservation and any kind of modification.
In these two scenarios, attention is being drawn to different sides of this much-awaited game, either on how it introduces its characters or on what technical needs it requires before release while the promotional images offer a closer look at the main characters, the reported firmware restriction remains a separate issue that players should follow through reliable updates.
GTA 6 Latest News: Rockstar Adds Four New GTA 6 Images to Its Marketing Campaign
It has been suggested that Rockstar has added four images in the GTA 6 promotion campaign which have been released in Love Magazine. As per an article published by IGN dated October 2, the images mainly feature Lucia and Jason in various locations, giving more insight into the main duo of the game.
One image is a black and white image which shows Jason in a white vest while Lucia wears a leopard print crop top while another two images show the duo being seated across each other in a diner booth with a huge bag beside them. Lucia and Jason can be seen in another scene being dressed up in an evening dress. Jason can also be seen in a biker outfit playing pool in a bar however, there is no information about missions or gameplay mechanics revealed through these images.

The ambitions of these individuals do not seem to revolve around their pursuit for money, but rather around more mundane issues such as the ownership of a house and the repayment of debts. This has been alluded to by the senior vice president of narrative at Rockstar, Rupert Humphries.
According to writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern, the plan is for them to become vulnerable, strong and flawed. Their relationship could thus become a key part of the plot, though the actual story is not known yet.
GTA 6 Latest News: GTA 6 PS5 Firmware Requirement and Jailbreak Concerns
There has been a report by an account named PlayStation Game Size datamining that suggests that the GTA 6 PS5 release build needs system software version 14.10.00.00. This could mean that the build would not be able to run on the consoles with the older firmware.
The requirement of this particular build has gained some attention because of Relapse exploit being able to get kernel access in some of the firmware releases in July. But later on, Sony updated their firmwares to 14.00 and 14.10 and this apparently impacted the exploit. There is no clear relation between Rockstar’s release build and Sony’s updates and players should wait for official confirmation before treating the firmware requirement as final.
GTA 6 Latest News: Digital Distribution, Piracy Prevention and Emulation
Digital delivery offers developers more opportunities to edit the files digitally compared to the existing physical discs. This would make it easier for developers to distribute compatible updates and changes regarding security issues even closer to the game release date. The issue of unofficial emulations is also under discussion however, it is worth considering that emulating an advanced PS5 game on the computer will not be easy.
