iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch in Abu Dhabi: Which iPhones Could Apple Launch Tonight?
Apple is expected to take a different approach to its iPhone lineup this year. Instead of unveiling the entire iPhone 18 family together, reports suggest that the September 9 event will focus on the premium models and Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
iPhone 18 Pro: Expected UAE Price: Around AED 4,400–AED 4,800
The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to be one of the two conventional flagship models launching tonight.
Reports point to Apple’s new-generation A20 Pro chip, camera improvements and a smaller Dynamic Island. The phone could also receive a higher starting price because of rising component costs.
For UAE buyers, the expected starting price is around AED 4,400 to AED 4,800, although Apple has not confirmed the figure. The final price will depend on storage configuration and Apple’s official UAE pricing.
iPhone 18 Pro Max: Expected UAE Price: Around AED 5,950–AED 6,350
The iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely remain Apple’s largest traditional iPhone and could be the most expensive non-foldable model in the new lineup.
Current UAE reports put the expected starting price considerably higher than the previous generation, at roughly AED 5,950 to AED 6,350 for the 256GB version. T-Break, for example, estimates a starting price near AED 5,950, while noting that the figure is not confirmed.
The Pro Max is expected to feature a large 6.9-inch display, an A20 Pro processor and camera upgrades. Reports have also pointed to a possible variable-aperture main camera.
Foldable iPhone / iPhone Ultra: Expected UAE Price: Around AED 7,350–AED 9,200+
The biggest announcement could be Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
The device has been referred to as the iPhone Ultra, iPhone Fold and iPhone Duo in different reports, so its final name remains uncertain until Apple officially reveals it.
The price is expected to sit far above the Pro Max. Reuters reports that the foldable could cost more than US$2,000, while another Reuters report puts expectations above US$2,500 for the premium device.
For the UAE market, that translates to a potential price of more than AED 7,300, with some estimates putting the top-end price closer to AED 9,000 or above, depending on storage and configuration.
iPhone 18: Not Expected Tonight
The standard iPhone 18 is the major model that may be missing from tonight’s event.
Reports indicate Apple could delay the regular iPhone 18 until spring 2027, alongside other non-Pro models. The strategy would allow Apple to concentrate the September event on the Pro lineup and the foldable iPhone.
Expected iPhone Prices in Abu Dhabi/UAE
| Expected iPhone | Expected UAE Starting Price | Launch Status |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro | AED 4,400–AED 4,800 | Expected tonight |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | AED 5,950–AED 6,350 | Expected tonight |

| iPhone 18 Air | Not confirmed | Reportedly delayed to 2027 |
| iPhone 18e | Not confirmed | Reportedly delayed to 2027 |
Important: These are leaked/estimated UAE prices, not Apple’s official prices. UAE pricing can vary by storage and configuration. The strongest current UAE estimate for the iPhone 18 Pro Max is around AED 5,950–AED 6,350, while the foldable is expected to be substantially more expensive.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch in Abu Dhabi: What is Apple Expected to Launch Tonight?
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to headline Apple’s September event.
Reports point to several possible upgrades for the Pro models, including a new-generation processor, camera improvements and changes to the Dynamic Island. The Pro Max could also receive additional camera and battery improvements.
However, Apple has not confirmed the specifications ahead of the keynote, so the final hardware details will only become clear during the presentation.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch in Abu Dhabi: First Foldable iPhone Could Be Apple’s Biggest Announcement
The iPhone 18 Pro Max may not be the biggest surprise of the night.
Apple is widely expected to reveal its first foldable iPhone, although its final name remains uncertain. Reports have referred to the device as the iPhone Ultra, iPhone Fold and iPhone Duo.
The foldable could use a book-style design, allowing the device to open into a larger display. Reports have also suggested a large internal screen and a smaller cover display.
If Apple confirms the device, it will enter a foldable smartphone market already dominated by manufacturers such as Samsung and other Android phone makers. The launch would represent one of Apple’s biggest changes to the iPhone range in years.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch in Abu Dhabi: Will Apple Launch the Regular iPhone 18 Tonight?
The standard iPhone 18 may not be part of tonight’s launch.
Reports indicate that Apple could change its traditional September strategy this year by introducing the premium iPhone 18 Pro models first and delaying the standard iPhone 18 and other non-Pro models until 2027.
The shift would allow Apple to put more attention on its high-end products during the September event.
This means Abu Dhabi viewers could see a more premium-focused iPhone presentation rather than the usual launch of the complete iPhone family.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch in Abu Dhabi: Apple Watch and AirPods Could Also Be Announced
The iPhone lineup is expected to dominate the keynote, but Apple could have additional hardware announcements.
Reports suggest the company could introduce new Apple Watch models and AirPods during the event. Apple may also discuss upcoming software updates and other products.
The exact product list remains unconfirmed until Apple takes the stage.
iPhone 18 Pro Max UAE Price: What to Expect
Apple has not yet confirmed the UAE price of the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Several pre-launch reports have suggested that Apple could increase prices for its premium iPhones, while the rumoured foldable model could sit considerably higher in the company’s lineup.
Any leaked UAE price should therefore be treated as an estimate until Apple officially announces the devices and their regional prices.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch in Abu Dhabi: Why the September 9 Apple Event is Important
This year’s Apple keynote carries significance beyond the new iPhone models.
It is the first major iPhone launch under John Ternus, who succeeded Tim Cook as Apple’s CEO. The company could also finally enter the foldable smartphone market after years of reports about a foldable iPhone.
That combination could make the September 9 event one of Apple’s most closely watched product launches in years.
