iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Today in India: The wait is almost over for Apple fans in India, with the company’s biggest launch event of the year set to take place late Wednesday night. Apple will host its “Surprise and shine” event on September 9, where the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to headline a major product refresh. The company could also finally enter the foldable smartphone market with its first foldable iPhone.
For viewers in India, the key detail is simple: the Apple event starts at 10:30 PM IST on September 9. Apple will stream the keynote online through its official website, the Apple TV app and YouTube Live, giving viewers multiple ways to follow the announcements from home. Apple has officially confirmed the event time and streaming platforms.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Today in India: When to Watch Apple Event Live Streaming
Apple’s September event will begin at 10:30 PM IST tonight, September 9, 2026. The keynote will take place at the Steve Jobs Theatre inside Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
The event starts at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, which converts to 10:30 PM in India. Apple has already listed the event across its official platforms, so Indian viewers do not need to wait for a separate local broadcast.
This year’s event carries the tagline “Surprise and shine” and represents a major moment for Apple as John Ternus leads his first major iPhone launch as CEO. Reuters reports that the event could mark the most significant change to the iPhone lineup since the iPhone X introduced the modern iPhone design in 2017.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch in India: Where to Watch iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Live Streaming
Indian viewers have three main options to watch Apple’s September 9 keynote live.
- Apple website: Apple will stream the event through its official Apple Events webpage.
- Apple TV app: Viewers can also watch the keynote through the Apple TV app on supported devices.
- YouTube: Apple will stream the event on its official YouTube channel, making it accessible across phones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs and other supported devices.
YouTube can be particularly convenient for viewers who want to watch the presentation without using an Apple device. Apple had already created an event listing on YouTube, where viewers could activate a notification for the livestream.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Today in India: What is Expected to Launch?
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to dominate the presentation. Reports suggest Apple could introduce improvements to the cameras, processor, display and other hardware areas.
The bigger surprise could come from Apple’s first foldable iPhone. Reuters says Apple is expected to enter a foldable-phone market that Samsung and other manufacturers have occupied for years. The device could carry a price tag above $2,000, although Apple has not confirmed the product, name or price.
Reports have used several names for the foldable, including iPhone Ultra, iPhone Fold and iPhone Duo. However, these names remain part of the rumour cycle until Apple officially reveals the device.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Today: iPhone 18 Pro Max India Price (Expected)
Apple has not officially announced the India prices for the new iPhone models.
Previous reports have suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro could start around ₹1,44,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could start around ₹1,59,900. The first foldable iPhone could command an even higher price, with some reports pointing towards the ₹2 lakh-plus range.
However, these figures remain unconfirmed, so buyers should wait for Apple’s official announcement before treating any leaked price as final.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Today in India: Will Apple Launch the Standard iPhone 18 Tonight?
The standard iPhone 18 may not appear alongside the Pro models at this event.
Several reports indicate that Apple could change its traditional iPhone launch schedule this year. Instead of introducing the complete iPhone family in September, the company may focus on the premium Pro models and its first foldable phone before bringing the standard iPhone 18 and other lower-priced models later.
That would make this year’s September keynote different from Apple’s usual approach, where several iPhone models typically share the stage.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Today in India: Apple Watch and AirPods Could Also Feature
The iPhone will likely remain the main attraction, but Apple could have more hardware announcements ready.
Reports point to possible updates to the Apple Watch lineup, including the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra. New AirPods could also appear during the presentation.
Apple could also discuss software updates and other products during the keynote, although the company has not confirmed the full launch list.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Launch Today in India: Why This Apple Event Is Different This Year
The September 9 event carries more significance than a routine iPhone upgrade. It will be the first major iPhone launch led by John Ternus after he took over as Apple’s CEO.
At the same time, Apple appears ready to make a major move into foldable phones. A foldable iPhone would place Apple directly against established players in a category that has grown steadily over recent years. Reuters describes the launch as a major change for Apple’s iPhone strategy.
For Indian Apple fans, however, the immediate question remains much simpler: when and where can they watch it?
The answer is 10:30 PM IST on September 9, with the livestream available on Apple.com, the Apple TV app and Apple’s official YouTube channel.
